4. Fun activities

In September, there is Fiesta di Cunucu which happens on September 29th. It’s an annual celebration highlighting Aruba’s heritage through folkloric dance and music.
October is the ideal time to go to the beaches. While you may have to be vigilant of tropical storms, Aruba has a low chance of getting hit too hard. During this month, the waters are hot, around 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
Suppose you need a break from the beach. In that case, you can visit one of Aruba’s most unique experiences, the Donkey Sanctuary.
Why are donkeys on the island, you may wonder? Well over 500 years ago, donkeys were brought to the island as a mode of transportation. And although these clever and strong creatures were reliable at one point, eventually, their usage became obsolete.
Thus the sanctuary was created to protect the existing population. Fortunately, visitors can now visit the refuge to pet, feed and spend time with these loveable four-legged animals.

Suppose you want to experience something that isn’t a typical tourist destination. In that case, you can explore Quadirikiri Cave and Fontein Cave.
Aruba’s two famous caves tell the story of life centuries ago when the island was underwater. During your visit, you will marvel at coral fossils and ancient rock drawings on the walls of Fontein Cave.

There’s something extraordinary about a destination that pulls you in so much you could imagine spending the rest of your life there, and there is one lesser-known Caribbean island that will undoubtedly do just that — beautiful Bonaire 🌴.
Although many people have heard of Bonaire, it is still less visited than tourism powerhouses like Cancun or Montego Bay. However, that’s one of its most appealing characteristics!
Lesser-Known Doesn’t Mean Less To Offer
To give some insight into just how ‘less-known’ Bonaire is, let’s compare it to Cancun.
Last year, Cancun Airport welcomed over 19 million international passengers. In comparison, Flamingo International Airport (Bonaire’s well-named airport) received about 170 thousand passengers. That’s less than 1% of Cancun’s intake!
But don’t let the fact that Bonaire gets fewer visitors fool you into thinking it isn’t worth visiting. In fact, that is one of the main reasons you should!
Bonaire is home to some of the most stunning scenery on Earth, and having fewer people crowding up the view only adds to its appeal. I’ve been to several destinations in the Caribbean, and even lived in one, and I can confidently say Bonaire is my favorite.
What Makes Bonaire Better Than Other Islands?
First, I think it is important to mention that the entirety of the Caribbean is worth visiting. From Aruba to The Bahamas, there are unique things about every destination that make each one worth a visit.
However, Bonaire holds a special place in my heart, and many other travelers would say the same.
So what is so special about Bonaire?
Aside from the fact that it is a less-visited destination offering more authentic experiences, Bonaire is absolutely gorgeous in every way. If you are a nature lover, Bonaire will not disappoint.
The country is extremely serious about protecting its stunning natural beauty, and you’ll definitely take notice. Before you even leave the airport, tourists pay a $75 visitor tax that goes towards protecting some of the healthiest coral reefs on Earth.
There is also an additional $40 nature tax that must be paid in order to enter the waters of Bonaire.
While these fees may seem like a nuisance, I can guarantee you’ll be happy about them the second you put your snorkel on and get in the water. As an avid scuba diver, I have never been anywhere prettier.
There’s No Such Thing As A Bad Spot
Choosing a place to stay is always one of the biggest parts of any vacation. What if you choose the wrong area? What if you’re too far away from what you are interested in?
On Bonaire, there’s no such thing as being too far away – from anything.
The island is only about 111 square miles. For comparison, the smallest U.S. State (Rhode Island) is about 1,545 square miles. There is nowhere you can go on Bonaire that will feel very far away from anywhere else on the island.
Don’t let this fool you into thinking there isn’t plenty to see though. You can visit the same coral reef, restaurant, or beach a thousand times and have a completely different experience each time.
For my visit, I was lucky enough to call Harbour Village home for the week, and I left wishing I could call it my home forever! Everything we did while in Bonaire was a short drive away, and everything I needed was right on the property.
The rooms are incredibly spacious, with the beach less than 20 steps away. I found myself spending my mornings working on the covered patio while sipping coffee and listening to the gentle waves. Work hardly felt like work, but Harbour Village was the perfect place to get things done.
Breakfast was just steps away from the rooms at the onsite restaurant, La Balandra, and was the perfect way to start the day while looking out over the ridiculously blue water.
During my stay, I was even lucky enough to witness a loggerhead turtle looking for a place to lay its eggs after an incredible night snorkel. Harbour Village is the perfect place to go for a midnight swim in the dark as underwater lights near the restaurant bring in the tarpon each night.
Don’t let them scare you; they are harmless. And if you forgot to bring a dive light, don’t worry. There is a dive shop right on Harbour Village’s property!

Whether scuba certified or not, you cannot leave Bonaire without throwing on a mask and peeking at what’s below the surface – just prepare for your mind to be blown.
Bonaire has the best offshore diving in the world, without a doubt. You can swim out and find something amazing practically anywhere on the island. In fact, as you travel around the island, you’ll encounter people driving trucks around with oxygen tanks in the back, heading to popular offshore scuba sites.
You don’t need a boat to get to some of the prettiest diving sites in Bonaire; simply swim out to them! The water is also the most beautiful blue I have ever seen, and you can see just as much with a snorkel as you can with scuba gear.
Ask a local, and they’ll tell you many of the island’s residents always keep a snorkel and mask in the car for impromptu snorkel sessions, so be sure to do the same during your visit!
If you want to scuba dive, you’ll have to do an intro dive to make sure your buoyancy and gear are all set. It is a requirement in Bonaire and helps to protect the coral reef.
During my stay at Harbour Village, I was able to do my orientation dive right offshore, and even without heading out to the reef, there was so much to see! On my dive, I saw a sea turtle, a shipwreck, a coral restoration project, a huge wall of fish pass us by, and the area right at the end of La Balandra was overrun with marine life.
I was only 30 or 40 feet from the shore, and there was so much to see it was hard to take it all in.
Get Off Path
We couldn’t really call ourselves Travel Off Path without a few suggestions for getting off path now could we? In that spirit, here are a few things you should definitely do to get off the beaten path while in Bonaire:
Go Landsailing
Love go-karts? Love the Earth? This is the experience for you.
Don’t leave Bonaire without checking out one of the coolest ways to ride the wind – on land! I didn’t know what to expect before trying out landsailing for the first time, but I had a blast!
I thought it might be hard to learn, but after 2 laps, I already felt like a pro and found myself itching for more speed with every lap.
Instructions are super clear and easy to follow, and jetting around the track entirely powered by the constant winds of Bonaire was a really great way to spend an afternoon.
If you are with a group, you can actually talk to each other while racing around and hold a conversation easily, as there are no noisy engines mucking up the track.
Landsailing Adventures did an amazing job of showing us the ropes and making us feel completely at home zipping around the track.
If you’d like to see some truly off-path places in Bonaire, be sure to hop on a horse tour with Horse Ranch Bonaire. You don’t need to be experienced at riding a horse; this activity is doable for all experience levels.
We did the Flamingo ride, and it was a fantastic way to spend the morning. We did indeed see flamingos on our ride, and it was really cool to see Bonaire from a unique perspective on horseback.
If you want to have a special night out, definitely be sure to book a sunset cruise dinner. We booked a dinner with Melisa Sailing, and it was one of my favorite experiences of the trip. From the moment you board, you know you are in for a fun and relaxing night, not to mention incredible food!
Get ready for a 6-course meal and tasty drinks while sailing on the smooth waters of Bonaire. The ambiance gets cozier the lower the sun gets, and by the time you head back to shore, the stars will be out to bid you farewell.
Great food, great drinks, and great conversations are inevitable on the Melisa, and you won’t regret spending an evening aboard.
Slagbaai National Park dominates the northern half of Bonaire and is one of the most unique places you can visit while on the island. You’ll see iguanas, flamingos, donkeys, and some of the prettiest beaches on the island.
Be sure to stop at each beach along the route around the park; they are all unique and worth snapping a few pics of each. Remember to bring your snorkel with you, as there is just as much to see under the water as above it!

Punta Cana’s vacation rental scene is booming! Whether it’s a local service or a major platform like Airbnb, it should be relatively easy to find comfortable accommodations.
Recent reports show there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Airbnb’s available. Many of these homes provide the necessary amenities digital nomads will be seeking, such as reliable wifi and a work desk.
Although Punta Cana’s co-working scene is plentiful, if you pick the right place to stay, then you may not need to leave at all.
If that’s not your style, there are even resorts catering to remote workers, such as the Eden Roc Cap Cana.
Workcation Mode: Activated
Punta Cana is the perfect place for a “workcation”. Travelers in general come here to be pampered at high-end resorts and enjoy the pristine beaches.
Digital nomads need not worry as Punta Cana holds a strong safety record, especially for tourists. In all likelihood, you will be traveling around with valuables, such as a laptop.
As long as you are aware of your surroundings and stick to what you know, digital nomads should not feel comfortable with their electronics.
Work First, Play Later
Punta Cana is full of fun attractions, no matter what vibe you’re seeking. You can spend your workday enjoying the scenic beach, sipping delicious coffee at a cafe or blend in at a co-working space, then have some fun at night or on weekends.
The city has a buzzing nightlife scene for those looking for a memorable night out, or travelers can stay low-key and explore the “Caribbean’s first world-class theme park“.
There is always something to do here, which is the main draw for travelers. For digital nomads in particular, if you are able to stay focused getting your work assignments done, it’s all the more worth it to be able to have some fun around the city.
Haiti is a beautiful country that boasts miles of white sandy beaches and a host of culturally and historically rich attractions.
In fact the beaches in Haiti are so beautiful that Royal Caribbean continues to sail to Labadee: A private dock on Haiti’s northern coast where visitors can sunbathe on the pristine sands and snorkel to coral reefs, all against the backdrop of jungle-covered hilltops.
However, Haiti is also considered to be a very dangerous country with incredibly high levels of crime, kidnapping risk, and civil unrest. The levels of crime and gang violence continue to increase in the country.
The U.S. Government has reissued a Level 4 ‘Do Not Travel’ advisory to reflect that they have ordered the departure of all non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their eligible family members.
The advisory also states that U.S. citizens in Haiti should leave Haiti as soon as possible using commercial or other privately available transport options. This decision has been reached due to the current security situation and infrastructure challenges in Haiti.
Citizens in Haiti wishing to leave Port-au-Prince right now are advised to “monitor local news and only do so when considered safe.”
Why Is Haiti Considered Dangerous?
There are many reasons why the U.S. government considers Haiti to be dangerous and has issued the Level 4 Do Not Travel advisory. These include:
Gang violence. This has always been a real issue in Haiti but this has now increased to extreme levels. Since April the mob killings of presumed criminals have also been on the rise.
Violent crime is commonplace. This includes armed robbery and carjackings involving the use of firearms. Travelers are often followed and either robbed or violently attacked. This includes places that they may perceive to be safe, such as close to Port-au-Prince airport.
Protests, demonstrations, and tire burning in protest against the government are commonplace. These are unpredictable and can often turn violent. Local police lack the resources to respond to criminal incidences, meaning that U.S. citizens that are victims of crime in Haiti will have limited support.
It’s important to note that the U.S. government is very limited in the support that it can provide to U.S. citizens who need emergency assistance in Haiti. Your only assistance will be from the limited resources of the local authorities.
Staying Safe In Haiti
Despite this government warning, you may decide that you still wish to visit Haiti. While the security situation in the country is volatile, many tourists still travel to Haiti to explore the beaches, the art, the unique voodoo ceremonies, and the music-filled streets.
In their advisory, the U.S. government states that citizens who decide to travel to Haiti should avoid demonstrations and crowds and never attempt to drive through roadblocks.
Because the streets around Port-au-Prince airport can be dangerous, travelers should arrange airport transfers in advance or have their host meet them at the airport.
Be careful about sharing your personal information with anyone, and if you feel like you might be being followed, then you should drive or walk to the nearest police station immediately.
Walking in public can be very risky, so aim to travel by car are much as possible and keep your windows and doors locked when driving in Haiti.
In short, if you are traveling in Haiti, it is important to be cautious and alert at all times. And ensure that you have private travel insurance and medical evacuation insurance in place before you travel so that you are prepared for every eventuality.

It is somewhere you go for disconnecting from the craziness of the modern world, placing it at the front of the ‘digital detox’ travel trend.
If lying on the warm sands all day as the Caribbean Sea caresses your feet under the bright tropical sun, notifications off, sounds like your idea of fun, these unheard-of islands are definitely where you should be headed.
As tourism isn’t as prominent in the BVI as in their Caribbean counterparts, and the islanders enjoy a high level of social development due to their status under the British flag, you are extremely unlikely to be disturbed by beach vendors or even face safety issues.
Your only job is to kick back, relax, and take in the oceanic vibes.
Unique Culture
The BVI may be primarily a resort destination, but it is also an incredibly underrated cultural site waiting to be discovered.
Originally inhabited by indigenous Americans hailing from the continent’s South, the islands were re-settled by Europeans following Christopher Columbus’ second excursion into the Americas in 1493, after which they were renamed ‘British Virgin Islands’.
Throughout the centuries, the archipelago would fall under the control of several different empires, being administered by the English, Dutch, French, the Danish, and even the Spanish, who fought their Anglo-Saxon rivals in an attempt to assert their Empire’s borders in the New World.
Ultimately, the territory would return to British control when it became an important trading hub associated with the sugar cane trade.
During this period, a large number of enslaved Africans would be forcibly brought to the BVI to work in the fields.
Today, the archipelago’s multi-ethnic populace is reflective of centuries upon centuries of racial diversity and intermarriage, though Afro-Caribbean descendants continue to form a majority. Nonetheless, all islands are British citizens.
For those interested in the complex History of the BVI, especially tourists who would like to add in some culture to their sunny break, there are four major museums in Tortola where they can learn more:
H.M. Prison Museum, the oldest building on the island, was established as early as 1794
The Old Government House, the official residence of the archipelago’s Governor, originally built in 1899
The 1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works, a plantation formerly linked to slavery
The Folk Museum, chronicling the History of the islands’ native inhabitants, the Arawak and Carib peoples
Direct Flights
Finally, if you’re thinking the BVI are not worth the hassle as they are more remote than other resorts a stone’s throw away from home, you might want to reconsider upon learning that the first-ever nonstop flight between the mainland U.S. and the territory has launched recently.
Offered by American Airlines, the inaugural three-hour journey took place on June 1, linking Miami to the BVI’s main international airport on Beef Island.
Although it is not the capital or most populous island, it is connected to Tortola via the landmark Queen Elizabeth Bridge, spanning the bright-blue sea.
The daily flight will remain operational through August 14, pausing in the fall before restarting service in November.
Overall, the BVI administration estimated that more than 2,100 monthly visitors would be transported to the archipelago during active months.
The flights depart Miami at 10:07 a.m. arriving at Beef Island at 1:06 p.m. Returning to America, guests will take off at 1:47 p.m., touching down in Miami at 4:25 p.m.
Additional flights have also been added on certain June dates due to strong demand.
As stated by BVI Premier Natalio Wheatley, ‘this is the first time in history that a flight has completely sold out in such a short amount of time‘, and the administration is grateful to American Airlines for partnering with them in fulfilling this long-awaited service. ‘bringing ease and accessibility’ to the ‘treasured’ destination.
Round-trip flights from Miami start from US $998 and US $503 from San Juan in Puerto Rico.
Low-cost options are non-existent, as both seat availability and capacity are lower, but this is a more exclusive destination where you’ll be able to truly enjoy the natural wonders of the Caribbean without battling for a spot in the sun amid the raging crowds.
For some, that might be worth the extra hundred bucks.
The Caribbean is a timeless destination that people from all over the world seek out over and over again, but it can be hard to find the perfect place that fits the bill for all types of travelers.
One island may be perfect for families, and another might be perfect for solo travelers. But what about an island that every type of traveler can come back to time and time again?

More Than Just Gorgeous Beaches
Don’t get me wrong, Barbados has absolutely stunning beaches, but the island is so much more than that! While many people flock to this idyllic island for a week of sipping cocktails in the sand, there are plenty of reasons to leave the resort to explore what the rest of Barbados has to offer.
While beach lovers will obviously love Barbados, so will history buffs, thrill-seekers, nature lovers, party people, families, couples, and solo travelers.
Personally, a pretty view of the beach is one of my top requirements when visiting the Caribbean, and I had just that during my stay at the Hilton Barbados Resort.
Barbados has a significant place in history, and while much of it is sad (it was a crucial place for the functioning of the Atlantic slave trade), there are fascinating buildings and landmarks to check out around the island.
For instance, Bridgetown and its Garrison is a UNESCO world heritage site and is a popular site to see for tourists in the area. With buildings dating to the 17th century, it shows off the remnants of Great Britain’s Atlantic colonial empire.
There are also several different plantations travelers can visit, such as Sunbury or St. Nicholas Abbey. Or, if you like rum, a distillery tour is a must!
Go in any direction for very long in Barbados, and you are sure to bump into a historical wonder. It’s the perfect Caribbean destination for those who like to explore the past.
For Thrill-Seekers
For those who want to get their heart racing, Barbados provides plenty of opportunities. Whether under the water, on the water, on land or above it, there is something for you to get your adrenaline pumping. Scuba diving, jet skiing, off-roading, ziplining, and more are all options here; you’ll never feel bored or run out of action.
For a great mix of fun, food, and adventure, consider a sunset catamaran cruise with Cool Runnings.
You’ll be able to enjoy some great music on the water on your way to some great snorkeling sites. After you’ve said hi to a turtle or two, you’ll cruise along with drinks in hand before dropping anchor for a bite to eat. For Nature Lovers
Barbados never falls short on stunning landscapes and fascinating wildlife to enjoy. Its gorgeous beaches give way to crystal clear waters teeming with colorful fish and coral.
Its wildlife reserve is home to all sorts of animals like green monkeys, exotic birds, and even deer.
For an insiders look into planet Earth, head to Harrison’s Cave, where you’ll see underground waterfalls and streams weaving through interesting natural rock formations.
For Party People
Barbados is the birthplace of rum, so it’s no wonder it’s a great place to find a party. One of the best times to visit for those looking for a good time is from June to August while the Crop Over Festival is going on.
Barbados used to be the largest producer of sugar on Earth, and this festival was once a way to celebrate the successful completion of another sugar cane harvest, hence the name — Crop Over.
Now the festival has evolved into a very Carnival-like occasion, with music, dancing, and parades.
But don’t limit yourself to these months alone, Barbados has plenty of party to go around the rest of the year too!
For Families
Barbados may be great for those looking for a party, but it’s just as great for families looking to spend time together as well.
Many beaches offer calm waters with fun activities for kids, and lifeguards to make sure everyone is safe. Barbados is the perfect place to teach kids about marine life, and the experience of a sea turtle swimming right up to you is one that children never forget.
For a really unique time out with the family, take the kids out on the Atlantis Submarine, where you’ll dive 150 feet below the surface in a fully air-conditioned and pressurized submarine.
For Couples
Whether it’s your honeymoon or your 50th anniversary, Barbados is perfect for connecting with your significant other in a setting that offers the perfect backdrop for a romantic week.
There are options all the way from large all-inclusives with great spas to your own fully staffed private villa. No matter what you choose, you’ll never feel like you don’t have a place to escape to in order to be alone, whether it’s your own private jacuzzi on your balcony overlooking the beach or a secluded cove at sunset, there are countless romantic places to explore on a trip to Barbados.
For Solo Travelers
Solo travelers will have no problems easing right into Barbados. It is an extremely safe country to visit, and the locals are all overwhelmingly friendly. It’s easy to connect with others here and make friends if that’s what you’re into.
On the flip side, if you are after some much-needed solitude, there are plenty of places in Barbados to get away for a while. The serene and laid-back nature of the island makes it easy to take some time to self-reflect and soak up the sun.

One Happy Island
If you’ve never been to Aruba, you aren’t alone. Many travelers flock to tourist heavyweights like Cancun or Montego Bay year after year.
But while those destinations are certainly worth returning to, a visit to Aruba might just change your annual vacation habits.
Affectionately called the “one happy island,” Aruba certainly lives up to its nickname. The moment you land on this eternally sunny island, you feel welcome and relaxed before you’ve even made it to your hotel.
Aruba is only about 20 miles long and 6 miles wide, so your ride from the airport to your hotel will be super quick no matter where you are on the island.
Many travelers head to Palm Beach, a breathtaking stretch of sand that many of the most popular resorts call home — including the alluring Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino.
If you’ve never been to Aruba, I’d suggest taking your arrival day to unwind on the beach or at your resort. Nobody likes flying half the day away, but as soon as your feet hit the white sands of Aruba, you’ll forget about the time it took to get there.
For a first-time visit (and every visit after, honestly…), one of the best areas to stay is going to be Palm Beach. The beach is about 2 miles long and has everything you could possibly want on a Caribbean vacation.
Watersports, beach bars, restaurants, shops, casinos… you name it — Palm Beach has it.
You won’t ever get bored exploring this stunning stretch of sand, and that’s assuming you even want to leave your resort. When planning my stay, I wanted to be able to get everything I could possibly need without having to leave the resort property. In this case, that property was the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino.
While I did leave the resort during my stay, there was no need to. Everything I could possibly want or need was on site and easily accessible.
I realized an hour into my trip I’d forgotten toothpaste, deodorant, nail clippers, and my snorkel gear (amateur move, I know). I walked downstairs and found all 4 quickly and easily!
For a first-time visit to Aruba, the Marriott was a perfect fit, and I’ll definitely be back again the next time I head to Aruba.
The room was incredible, and having morning coffee while looking off the balcony as the sun came up is a memory that will be etched in my brain for the rest of my life.
Of course, one of the highlights of heading to Aruba is going to be its gorgeous white-sand beaches. And when I say white sand, I mean it!
Aruba has some of the whitest sand in the Caribbean and, as a result, never feels hot on the feet. Everything about the sand and the beautiful blue waters screams relaxation and peace of mind.
But Aruba is more than its beaches! Aruba really is a destination for every type of traveler. Art, culture, adventure, nightlife, and more are all at your fingertips and easily accessible from anywhere on the island due to its small size.
Personally, I like to check out the local art scene and do more “off-path” things (yea, I said it).
On a different trip to Puerto Rico, one of my favorite experiences was exploring the amazing street art in Santurce. Little did I know Aruba is also home to absolutely breathtaking street art and murals!
San Nicolas Street Art
Founded in 2016 by Tito Bolivar after being inspired during a visit to Bogota, Colombia, Aruba Mural Tours in the city of San Nicolas offers travelers a glimpse into what’s possible when an idea becomes a sensation.
The first murals went up after the first-ever Aruba Art Fair, and San Nicolas’ fate was sealed.
Now, there are well over 40 murals to enjoy, and everywhere you turn your head, you will be met with art from some of the greatest muralists in the world.
I’d suggest the morning tour, as the sun won’t be as hot, and you can plan to stop and grab some great local fish on the way back to your hotel at Zeerover, a restaurant on a picturesque pier that looks out on the unbelievably blue waters where your fresh meal just came from.
There is no better way to truly get off path than by heading into the desert! I wasn’t aware that Aruba had a desert until a few days before my trip, but it’s definitely worth exploring.
Most of my experience of the Caribbean is from the time I spent living in Grenada, which is very mountainous. You can’t look too far in any direction without seeing a mountain unless you look at the ocean, of course.
In Aruba, you can see for miles. Everything is incredibly flat, and a trip into the desert really shows the unique character of this island.
What is the best way to see it?
A UTV tour! UTVs are different from ATVs; they are like a cross between an ATV, a golf cart, and a car, and they are an absolute blast to drive through the desert! We toured with De Palm Tours, and our guide was hilarious and informative.
During the tour, you’ll stop at several points in the desert to get a bit of history, a chance to stretch your legs, and the option to switch off driving to be a passenger for a while, which is the perfect time to grab some great video!
Pro-tip: Wear some really amazing sunglasses with great coverage, or bring some off-roading goggles. If you don’t have either, they have them for sale before the tour begins. There is no windshield, and there’s a lot of sand in the desert! ????
Go Home With More Than Souvenirs
One of the joys of traveling is coming back with something to remind you of your trip, but you can bring back far more than just a souvenir. Why not go home with new knowledge and an experience that will remind you of your trip again and again?

The Most Important Decision
Aside from choosing to visit Aruba in the first place, one of the biggest influences on whether you will have a great vacation is going to be where you stay. I touched on it above, and I’ll say it again, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino was the perfect pick for a stress-free vacation with everything I could possibly need while enjoying all that Aruba offers.
From a delicious breakfast on the gorgeous balcony to a picture-perfect afternoon under the ocean-front palapas, the Marriott did not disappoint.
I wasn’t there long enough to try everything, but that just means that I’m more excited to go back for another visit.
In particular, I want to try the Massage de la Aruba at the on-site Mandara Spa and the Desert Bathing experience offered by the Marriott, where you can enjoy a picnic in the desert after a yoga session and some introspection.
To cap off your Aruba adventures, I highly recommend enjoying your last dinner at sunset at Atardi, where you can dine with your feet in the sand in one of the most beautiful settings in the Caribbean.
The view of the sun setting over your delicious dinner on your last night in Aruba will stick with you, and you’ll desperately want to come back the second you leave.

Jamaica has been seeing a boom in tourism lately. According to Jamaica’s Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, the latest predictions show that Jamaica will receive more than 3.8 million tourists in 2023.
From January to March alone, the island saw nearly 1.2 million tourists, an increase of 94% compared to the same period in 2022.
So what makes Jamaica so popular?
Here are the top reasons visitors are flocking to this Caribbean destination!
1. Affordable Resorts
One of the biggest draws to Jamaica is the abundance of affordable all-inclusive resorts.
Although there is much more to Jamaica than just resorts, that’s one of the biggest reasons tourists visit this island destination — they’re looking for a relaxing, do-nothing getaway where they can relax on the beach and sip piña coladas.

You can find the best deals in the off-season, especially in September and October.

You’ll see the top-notch hospitality on display if you stay in an all-inclusive resort, but the best way to experience it is to venture beyond your resort and experience the “real” Jamaica.
