    Hopper’s 2023 Travel Trends Report shared many insights about the current state of travel, including the top destinations that travelers are planning for this year.

    1. New York, NY

    New York remains the most popular tourist destination in the United States, with travelers flocking to the Big Apple for sightseeing, Broadway shows, museums, restaurants, and more.

    With a new tourist pass to showcase all five boroughs, 2023 is a great time to visit New York.

    Orlando is another one of the most searched destinations of 2023.

    This central Florida city is best known for its theme parks, being the home of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando.

    1. London, United Kingdom

    London is the most searched international destination of 2023. This capital city was one of Americans’ favorite destinations abroad last year and remains that way in 2023.

    London is also a great starting point for visiting other amazing destinations in the UK.

    2. Tokyo, Japan

    After two and a half years of completely shutting out tourists and decimating the tourism industry, the Japanese government finally allowed the country to welcome tourists again in October 2022, but with a number of restrictions in place.

    You’ll want to get on top of your summer plans soon because the booking site also noticed travelers are looking to start their trips even earlier. They found a 14% increase in search demand for stays between March and June, meaning this typical quieter season for travel is starting to gain momentum.

    • Median Nightly Price Per Person: $115.54

    This island is located off the coast of southeastern North Carolina and is known for its consistent surf, making it a great option for surfers. In summer, the island hosts free movies in the park, as well as a monthly free concert series.
