1. Waimoku Falls

Waimoku Falls is a stunning waterfall that cascades a magnificent 400’. Located in Haleakala National Park, the hike to reach the falls is an excellent way to spend an afternoon seeing more of the island and reaching a gorgeous destination! The trail to Waimoku Falls is about 4 miles roundtrip. While it does feature some rockier sections, it isn’t overly challenging or long – just be sure to bring some sturdy shoes and leave time for breaks in your schedule if you’re not much of a hiker.

2. Go Kayaking

With its status as a tropical island, it’s no surprise that Maui is surrounded by some gorgeous waters. A great way to experience these up close is a sea-kayaking trip. This is a great way to get outdoors as well as potentially see wildlife up close. Even better, thanks to several tour groups in the area, no experience or gear of your own is necessary! 3. Snorkel At Molokini Crater

Molokini Crater was formed by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago. Nowadays, it’s a well-loved spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. Even if you’ve never been surfing before, taking a surfing class can be a great way to get out of your comfort zone, make some fun memories, and enjoy the sun. 8. Head Under The Sea

Here’s another well-loved adventure to have on Maui. Unlike other suggestions on this list which mostly include enjoying exploring the island or heading out on the water, this suggestion actually takes you below the waves. A submarine tour can be a great way to not only see some truly one-of-a-kind views but also make some memories that are unlikely to be forgotten anytime soon. 9. Visit Seven Sacred Pools

One of the most well-loved outdoor adventures on the island is without a doubt visiting Seven Sacred Pools. Consisting of a series of dreamy waterfalls and pools, this site is accessible via the short Kūloa Point Trail. 

10. Go Horseback Riding

Here’s another unique way to see more of the island! Maui Mountain Adventures offers horseback riding tours that will allow you to take in some gorgeous scenery and have a unique time riding a horse.
