A term I often use is vibe —and I’m not alone. According to a recent Expedia report, Vibe Check-Ins are trending. People are picking their hotels and destinations more and more in search of the ultimate vibe, and there’s one beach destination and hotel that outshines the rest.

Until recently, I’d considered Fort Lauderdale an offshoot of Miami. Why check out Fort Lauderdale when the bigger and better Miami is right next door, right?
Wrong!
Fort Lauderdale is an absolute gem of a destination in its own right, and I can’t wait to go back and explore more of what it has to offer. While Miami may be bigger, I certainly wouldn’t call it better.
From shopping on Las Olas to spending an afternoon basking in the sun on the gorgeous beaches, there is one thing Fort Lauderdale is not lacking in — The Ultimate Vacation Vibe.
Vibe-worthy Luxury Stays
A destination on its own doesn’t quite fulfill that vacation vibe so many of us crave, you’ve got to couple it with an incredible place to stay.

If you’ve never stayed in a W Hotel, let me fill you in. Get ready for modern design, amazing luxury perks, top-notch locations, and unique experiences. W Hotels do not disappoint, and the W Fort Lauderdale is no exception.
From the second you walk in to the moment you hit the rooftop pool you’ll feel like a local celeb basking in the unique vibe that only the W Fort Lauderdale can offer.

One of the coolest parts about the W Fort Lauderdale was a really unique perk that any guest can take advantage of while staying there — the Luxury Essentials Cart.
Just let the front desk know you’d like the cart brought to your room, and you’ll be able to borrow any item you like for the duration of your stay.
If that doesn’t scream good vibes I don’t know what does!

While most of the accessories were admittedly better-suited for women, I still had to see what was available 😂. They also plan to add more accessories for men in the future.
Endless Things To Do
Fort Lauderdale is packed FULL of things to do, and that’s if you even feel the need to leave the W!
The W Fort Lauderdale has the perfect place to soak up the sun in style on its rooftop WET deck, complete with an amazing pool, cabanas, and staff walking around constantly to make sure your drink is always full.
Another cool thing about staying at the W Fort Lauderdale is the events they have at night. We were able to take part in cocktails with a live artist and music, and a really fun game night.
And don’t worry, if all you want to do is rest and relax, the AWAY spa is just an elevator ride away from your room. I’m still dreaming about the AMAZING massage I got while staying there.
Looking to get out of the hotel for a while? Fort Lauderdale won’t disappoint. Go for a bike ride along the beach, go rug-making, try a ton of different foods at Sistrunk Marketplace, or simply walk across the street to the gorgeous beach in front of the W.
If you’re looking for an amazing dinner spot, look no further than Rocco’s Tacos, and don’t leave without trying the freshly made guacamole! This was my favorite dinner of the trip and definitely a place I’ll be visiting again.

Perfect Weather
You can’t talk about a beach destination with ultimate vacation vibes without bringing up how perfect the weather is.
December brings temperatures in the high 70s, perfect for a day out at the beach or an afternoon sunning out on the WET deck.
Rain is quick to pass, and nighttime temperatures are mild enough to walk around comfortably with evening wear.
Whatever vibe you’re going for, beach bum, old money, or fit and fab, Fort Lauderdale has the perfect weather to accommodate.
Gorgeous Beaches
Fort Lauderdale offers WAY more than just beaches, but it is still the perfect place to lay in the sand and forget about the 9 to 5 waiting for you back home.
Whether you want to nap all day while working on your tan or get a little more active on a paddleboard, the beaches in Fort Lauderdale will not disappoint.
Plus, since the city is basically sitting right on the beach, you don’t have to go far to grab food, go shopping, or switch things up with a massage at the AWAY spa.
It’s Worth It

It’s a wonderful slice of Florida that I already can’t wait to visit again, and when I do, I 100% will be checking back into the hotel with the coolest vibe in town — The W Fort Lauderdale.
